Thomas M. Shapiro

President and Chief Investment Officer

Tom Shapiro is the President and Founder of GTIS. In addition, Mr. Shapiro is the Chief Investment Officer responsible for overseeing all investment activity and strategy of the firm. Mr. Shapiro is also Chairman of the General Partner’s Investment Committee and is a member of the Board of Directors of Brazil Hospitality Group, one of the largest owners and managers of hotels in Brazil.

Mr. Shapiro’s experience in the real estate industry began in 1988. Prior to starting GTIS, Mr. Shapiro was a Senior Managing Director at Tishman Speyer and a member of the firm’s Investment and Management Committees. Most recently, Mr. Shapiro was responsible for Tishman Speyer’s global equity capital markets and dispositions groups. Previously, Mr. Shapiro ran GTS Properties, an acquisitions joint venture between Tishman Speyer and Goldman Sachs.

Mr. Shapiro serves on the Board of Trustees of Horace Mann School. He also serves on the Undergraduate Executive Board for The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania from which Mr. Shapiro received a B.S. and graduated magna cum laude.

Peter Ciganik

Senior Managing Director, Head of Capital Markets

Peter Ciganik is a Senior Managing Director, and Head of Capital Markets at GTIS. In addition, Mr. Ciganik is responsible for GTIS’ macro and investment research, global strategy and new business development.

Mr. Ciganik’s experience in the real estate industry began in 2002. Prior to joining GTIS in 2007, Mr. Ciganik worked with Morgan Stanley Real Estate Funds (MSREF) in London and with Lehman Brothers Real Estate Partners (LBREP) in New York. In his prior engagements, Mr. Ciganik was responsible for the evaluation, financial modeling and due diligence of equity and mezzanine debt investments, participating in acquisitions of over $800 million of individual and portfolio assets. Before joining LBREP, Mr. Ciganik worked with Lehman’s Corporate Strategy and Acquisitions group, and as a Business Analyst with McKinsey & Co. in Frankfurt and New York.

Mr. Ciganik graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Harvard College and received an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Maristella Val Diniz

Senior Managing Director, Head of Brazilian Investor Relations, Design & Asset Management

Maristella Val Diniz is a Senior Managing Director of Development and Asset Management and Head of Brazilian Investor Relations at GTIS, and is responsible for overseeing investor relations, media communication, all development and asset management activities in Brazil.

Mrs. Diniz’s experience in the real estate industry began in 1997, where she primarily focused on development and management of residential, commercial and mixed use projects in Brazil. Prior to joining GTIS in 2010, Mrs. Diniz was the Chief Operating Officer of Lindencorp, a major São Paulo-based development and investment firm, where she was responsible for overseeing the company’s operations and the entire scope of its project development pipeline, as well as strategic planning and asset management. Prior to Lindencorp, Mrs. Diniz worked at several real estate companies including Cyrela, Tecnisa and Birmann. At Birmann S.A., she worked directly with GTIS Senior Managing Director João Teixeira on the development of high-end residential projects, including the planning and execution of supplier contracts, coordination of project timelines and approvals, project marketing and unit closings.

Mrs. Diniz studied Architecture and Urbanism at Federal Architecture University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), and received a graduate degree in Business Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV).

Thomas M. Feldstein

Partner, Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel

Tom Feldstein is a partner, the Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel of GTIS. Mr. Feldstein’s primary responsibilities include overseeing the firm’s legal affairs both in the US and Brazil, as well as the firm’s operations, offices and infrastructure. Mr. Feldstein is a member of the General Partner’s Investment Committee and is a member of the Board of Directors of Brazil Hospitality Group, one of the largest owners and managers of hotels in Brazil.

Mr. Feldstein’s experience in the real estate industry began in 1984. Prior to joining GTIS, Mr. Feldstein was an attorney in private practice providing transactional legal services for a variety of clients, including GTIS. From 2002 through 2009, Mr. Feldstein was a Managing Director at Tishman Speyer, initially responsible for supervising Tishman Speyer’s legal activities in the Midwest and Western United States. From 2004 through 2009, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of Tishman Speyer Office Fund, a REIT listed on the Australian Stock Exchange which owned and managed an interest in a US commercial office portfolio encompassing eight million square feet in New York, Greenwich, Milwaukee, Chicago, Suburban Virginia, San Francisco, Seattle, Beverly Hills, and Orange County. Prior to joining Tishman Speyer, Mr. Feldstein was a partner in the San Francisco transactional law firm of Greene Radovsky Maloney & Share focusing on acquisition, development, financing, and leasing of commercial, residential, and retail properties.

Mr. Feldstein received an A.B. with Honors and Distinction from Stanford University in 1979 and a J.D. from Northwestern University in 1983.

Robert McCall

Senior Managing Director, Head of Brazil Acquisitions

Robert McCall is a Senior Managing Director and Head of Brazil Acquisitions at GTIS, focusing on business development and strategy identification primarily for the company’s Brazil business.

Mr. McCall’s experience in the real estate industry began in 2003. Prior to joining GTIS in 2007, Mr. McCall was with Eastdil Secured in Atlanta, GA where he was an Associate responsible for financial valuation of investment properties ranging from $10 million to $600 million using various financial metrics to determine optimal marketing strategy to maximize returns. Before Eastdil Secured, Mr. McCall worked for CB Richard Ellis in the Financial Consulting Group and prior to that he worked as an Analyst with the Wells Fargo Real Estate Group.

Mr. McCall is a member of the Board of Directors of Brazil Hospitality Group, one of the largest owners and managers of hotels in Brazil. Mr. McCall received a B.S. in Business Administration from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Ed Mcdowell

Senior Managing Director, Head of US Acquisitions

Ed McDowell is a Senior Managing Director and Head of US Acquisitions at GTIS, as well as a member of the General Partner’s Investment Committee. Mr. McDowell is responsible for identifying, analyzing and executing on investment opportunities and new business initiatives for the firm’s US portfolio.

Mr. McDowell’s experience in the real estate industry began in 2003. Prior to joining GTIS, Mr. McDowell was most recently a Land Acquisition Manager for Hovnanian Enterprises, where he sourced and negotiated the purchase of residential land, analyzed investment opportunities and led due diligence teams. Mr. McDowell also served as the Assistant Director of Finance at Hovnanian where he sourced, evaluated and structured corporate acquisitions and helped arrange equity capital for joint ventures with private equity firms. Prior to Hovnanian, Mr. McDowell was an analyst for Morgan Stanley’s Investment Banking Division in both the Mergers and Acquisitions and Equity Capital Markets departments.

Mr. McDowell received an M.B.A., with a concentration in Finance, from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and an A.B. in Economics from Brown University. Mr. McDowell is fluent in Portuguese.

João Teixeira

Partner, Head of GTIS Brazil

João Teixeira is a partner of GTIS, and is responsible for the firm’s Brazilian investments and the São Paulo office.Mr. Teixeira is a member of the General Partner's Investment Committee and a member of the Board of Directors of Brazil Hospitality Group, one of the largest owners and managers of hotels in Brazil.

Mr. Teixeira’s experience in the real estate industry began in 1984. For the seven years prior to joining GTIS, Mr. Teixeira was the owner and principal of Investcorp Gestão de Investimentos Imobiliários, a real estate investment advisory firm with an equity participation model. Before launching his own firm, Mr. Teixeira was the Executive Vice President responsible for all residential and office developments at Birmann, then one of the top five real estate development firms in São Paulo. During his 12 years at Birmann S.A., Mr. Teixeira was instrumental in developing several Class A office buildings in São Paulo, including regional headquarters for Chase Manhattan, Deutsche Bank, FedEx, J.P. Morgan and Microsoft, as well as multiple residential developments including more than 15 buildings in the pioneering upscale condominium project, Panamby. While at Birmann S.A., Mr. Teixeira managed Parlnvest, an investment joint venture with Credit Suisse First Boston dedicated to Brazilian real estate, and was responsible for successful developments in Argentina and Chile. Mr. Teixeira spent the initial six years of his career at Brascan, where he was responsible for the completion of more than 10 million square feet of residential space in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

Mr. Teixeira studied engineering, business administration and urban planning at the University of São Paulo, receiving a graduate degree in Civil Engineering in 1982 (POLIUSP) and later a Masters degree in Urban Planning (FAUUSP).

Robert Vahradian

Partner, Head of US Investments

Robert Vahradian is a Partner of GTIS and a member of the General Partner’s Investment Committee. Mr. Vahradian is responsible for overseeing the firm’s US investment business, including strategy, acquisitions, and asset and portfolio management.

Mr. Vahradian’s experience in the real estate industry began in 1989. Previously, Mr. Vahradian was President of Allied Partners, a private real estate investment company, where he was responsible for the firm’s investment and development projects. Prior to Allied, Mr. Vahradian was the Chief Operating Officer and principal of The Athena Group, a residential investment and development company based in New York, with projects located primarily in New York, Washington, DC and South Florida. Mr. Vahradian managed the investment, financing and operating activities of Athena and its affiliated equity funds. Prior to Athena, Mr. Vahradian was a Director in Credit Suisse First Boston’s (“CSFB”) real estate investment banking and principal groups. At CSFB, he participated in public and private debt and equity offerings, and principal investments in real estate debt and equity transactions. Mr. Vahradian also developed and managed CSFB’s credit lease finance and securitization program, and a private equity investment vehicle targeting Central and Eastern Europe.

Mr. Vahradian is a member of the Board of Directors of LGI Homes, Inc. (NASDAQ: LGIH) a publicly listed homebuilding company. He received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, summa cum laude, from Tufts University and received an M.B.A. from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

David Pahl

Managing Director, US Income Investments

David Pahl joined GTIS as a Managing Director in July 2015 and opened the GTIS’ Atlanta office. Mr. Pahl is responsible for overseeing the office, retail and multifamily investment strategies in the US.

Mr. Pahl’s experience in the real estate industry began in 1990. Prior to joining GTIS, Mr. Pahl was a Managing Director with Prudential Real Estate Investors, responsible for overseeing the Pramerica funds for North American investments, including the U.S. Property Funds (USPF) series managed on behalf of German institutional investors. The USPF funds, which totaled $1.5 billion of equity, were actively invested since the mid 1990’s throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico, as well as, across the office, retail and multi-family sectors. Mr. Pahl originally joined TMW in 1991, and was involved in creating the USPF institutional funds overseeing the origination and closing of over 100 investment transactions valued at more than $6 billion.

Mr. Pahl received a B.S. in Management from Georgia Institute of Technology and received an M.B.A. from Georgia State University.

Theodore Karatz

Managing Director, US Acquisitions

Teddy Karatz is a Managing Director of US Acquisitions at GTIS and in February 2013, moved to California to open GTIS’ Los Angeles office. Mr. Karatz is responsible for sourcing and analyzing investment opportunities. Mr. Karatz’s experience in real estate industry began in 2006. Prior to joining GTIS, Mr. Karatz worked at O’Donnell/Atkins, a residential land brokerage firm where he worked directly with public and private homebuilders and developers to identify acquisition opportunities throughout California. Prior to O’Donnell Atkins, Mr. Karatz worked in the acquisitions group at KB Home, where he sourced and negotiated residential acquisition opportunities for the firm.

Mr. Karatz received a B.A. in Communication from the Annenberg School at the University of Southern California and received a Masters in Real Estate Development from the Lusk School at the University of Southern California.

Amit Rind

Managing Director, US Acquisitions

Amit Rind is a Managing Director of US Acquisitions at GTIS, and is responsible for identifying, analyzing and executing on investment opportunities primarily for the firm’s US business. Mr. Rind’s experience in the real estate industry began in 2009. Previously, Mr. Rind was an Associate focused on multifamily acquisitions with Castellan Real Estate Partners, a New York‑based real estate investment firm. At Castellan, Mr. Rind focused on analyzing, structuring and executing property acquisitions and financings. Prior to Castellan, Mr. Rind was a Senior Analyst at UBS Investment Bank in the Global Industrial Group. While at UBS, Mr. Rind participated in the execution of over $16 billion of successful mergers & acquisitions and leveraged finance transactions.

Mr. Rind holds an M.S. in Real Estate from New York University’s Schack Institute, and a B.A. in Economics and Government from Cornell University.

Gaurav Sahay

Gaurav Sahay

Managing Director

Gaurav Sahay is a Managing Director at GTIS and is responsible for direct acquisition and development efforts for the industrial sector in the Texas market.

Mr. Sahay’s experience in the real estate industry began in 2013. Prior to joining GTIS, Mr. Sahay worked at IDI Logistics as a Market Officer focused on all acquisition, disposition, and development activity in the Texas region; he was promoted to Market Officer in March of 2021 after spending two years as a Vice President of Capital Deployment. During his tenure at IDI Logistics, Mr. Sahay supported the development of more than 11 million square feet across the United States, as well as acquisitions and dispositions efforts, and was also responsible for creating and standardizing the internal valuation process. Prior to IDI, Mr. Sahay worked at Wells Fargo as a Financial Analyst, at JPMorgan Chase as a Credit Analyst and began his career at Comerica Bank as a Credit Analyst before being promoted to Senior Analyst.

Mr. Sahay graduated with an MBA from Emory University and a BS in Economics from the University of Houston.

Aimee Martin

Aimee Martin

Senior Director, US Acquisitions

Aimee Martin is a Senior Director at GITS on the US Acquisitions team and is responsible for the origination of new residential land development and homebuilding investments in multiple markets throughout the U.S.

Ms. Martin has over 25 years of diversified residential real estate experience in equity and debt investment, asset management and project finance, development, and operations. Prior to joining GTIS in 2021, Ms. Martin was a Managing Director at Isles Ranch Partners where she led the origination of the firm’s residential investments in Texas, Mountain/Central, and Eastern U.S. Prior to Isles Ranch, Ms. Martin worked at Rockpoint Group, where she was responsible for originations and asset management across a variety of the firm’s residential land investments, including a structured finance fund. Ms. Martin’s experience also includes roles as Director of Land Finance at Meritage Homes Corporation and Director of Project Finance at Terrabrook, a national land development company owned by Westbrook Partners. Ms. Martin began her real estate career at Windsor Companies, a developer of multifamily and hotel properties based in Dallas, Texas.

Ms. Martin received a B.S. from Pepperdine University. She is an active member of the Women’s Housing Leadership Group and the Urban Land Institute, serving in various leadership roles on both national and local levels.

Bill Mumford

Senior Director of Acquisitions and Development

Bill Mumford joined GTIS in March 2021 as a Senior Director of Acquisitions and Development, based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Mr. Mumford is responsible for overseeing the acquisition and development in the Southeast United States region for GTIS’ single-family build to rent (“BTR”) platform.

Mr. Mumford’s experience in the real estate industry began in 2002. Prior to joining GTIS, Mr. Mumford most recently consulted with Beechwood Homes, a major private Long Island based homebuilder, in leading their expansion efforts into the North Carolina market. Prior to that, Mr. Mumford spent 17 years with Newland Real Estate Group, a premier national master plan community development company. As a Senior Vice President and Division Manager overseeing Newland’s Charlotte office, Mr. Mumford created and implemented the business plans for the company’s Mid-Atlantic region comprising of projects in North and South Carolina and Washington, DC markets, with total annual revenues ranging between $75 and $90 million. During Mr. Mumford’s tenure at Newland, he led a team that included project VP’s, project and construction managers, as well as the marketing and operational support teams, and directed the acquisition and development of over 14,000 lots.

Mr. Mumford holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and is a licensed professional engineer in North Carolina and New York.

Tom Blair

Director, Portfolio Management

Tom Blair is a Director of Portfolio Management at GTIS, and is responsible for financial analysis, valuation, and performance reporting of the firm’s investment portfolio and fund vehicles.

Mr. Blair’s experience in the real estate industry began in 2003. Prior to joining GTIS, Mr. Blair worked for Regency Centers, a publicly traded owner, operator and developer of grocery‑anchored and community shopping centers. At Regency, Mr. Blair focused on finance and accounting for the company’s development portfolio in the Southeastern United States. Earlier in his career, he worked for Archon Group, an asset management affiliate of Goldman Sachs, and for Ernst & Young in Dallas, Texas.

Mr. Blair holds a B.B.A. and an M.P.A. in Accounting from the University of Texas, and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School with concentrations in Real Estate and Finance. He is a CFA charter holder and a licensed Certified Public Accountant.

Scott Bordogna

Director, Asset Management

Scott Bordogna is a Director of Asset Management at GTIS Partners and is responsible for driving operating and financial performance through strategic, hands on asset management of the firm’s investments in its U.S. platform.

Mr. Bordogna’s experience in the real estate industry began in 2008. Prior to joining GTIS in 2014, Mr. Bordogna was a Vice President at Synapse Capital where he was responsible for sourcing investment opportunities as well as asset management across the firm’s platforms. Prior to Synapse, Mr. Bordogna was an Associate at the estate of Lehman Brothers performing workouts across the firm’s real estate portfolio. At Lehman, Mr. Bordogna was focused on the asset management of debt, equity and REO assets with gross capitalization of roughly $1 billion. His responsibilities included oversight of development, evaluating financing opportunities and potential exit strategies.

Mr. Bordogna received a M.S. in Real Estate Finance & Investment from New York University and a B.S. in Finance from Lehigh University.

Chris Chang

Director, Asset Management

Christopher Chang is a Director of US Asset Management at GTIS, and is responsible for maximizing the operating and financial performance of the company’s investments through active day-to-day, strategic asset management and development activities.

Mr. Chang’s experience in the real estate industry began in 2003. Prior to joining GTIS in 2015, Mr. Chang was most recently a Senior Development Manager for Toll Brothers City Living, where he led or participated in the development of over 1 million square feet of residential mixed-use developments, including ground-up construction, adaptive re-use and rental to condominium conversion, for condominium sales totaling over $750 million. Prior to Toll, Mr. Chang was a Land Acquisitions Manager for Pulte Homes’ Urban Development Division. Prior to Pulte, Mr. Chang was an Associate at Goldman Sachs & Co. in the Trading Risk Management Information Technology group.

Mr. Chang received an M.B.A., with a concentration in Real Estate, from Columbia Business School and a B.S.E. from the University of Pennsylvania.

Gary Davis

Director of Design and Development

Gary Davis is Director of Design and Development, at GTIS Partners and has extensive experience in the design, development and construction of residential, commercial, hospitality and retail projects. His responsibilities at GTIS include overseeing the development of the firm’s build-to-rent communities.

Prior to joining GTIS, Mr. Davis was the founder and Principal of Davis Design and Development where he advised GTIS on a 650,000 sf residential tower in San Francisco, 195 new houses for rent in Phoenix and a 95 room, five star hotel in Lenox, Mass. While at Davis Design, Mr. Davis was highly involved in activities that ranged from deal sourcing and project conception to pre-development, construction and occupancy. He was previously the Director of Development at the Mack Real Estate Group in New York where he oversaw large scale residential projects in New York and LA and was also a founding partner at Urban Development Partners and has held Executive and Senior Vice President positions with The Athena Group, Ian Schrager Hotels and Edward. J Minskoff Equities.

Mr. Davis is a licensed architect and has lectured at Columbia University and NYU. He holds a Masters of Architecture degree from Princeton University and an undergraduate degree from Weslyan University.

Jason Levy

Jason Levy

Director and Controller, Finance

Jason Levy is a Director of Finance at GTIS, and is responsible for the management, accounting and operations of several US and Brazil focused funds with the GTIS portfolio.

Mr. Levy’s experience in the real estate industry began in 2006. Prior to joining GTIS, Mr. Levy spent six years at Morgan Stanley Real Estate Fund (“MSREF”), where he was involved in fund accounting, fund projections, and portfolio management.

Mr. Levy received a B.S. in Accounting and MBA in Accounting from Indiana University. Mr. Levy is a Certified Public Accountant and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

Anil Padiyedathu

Senior Director of Fund Finance

Anil Padiyedathu is a Senior Director of Fund Finance at GTIS, and is responsible for oversight of fund finance and operations for the firm’s Brazil focused portfolios.

Mr. Padiyedathu’s experience in the real estate industry began in 2004. Prior to joining GTIS, Mr. Padiyedathu spent 11 years at Ernst & Young, serving real estate clients in the private equity and REIT sectors. Mr. Padiyedathu has experience with both domestic and international open and closed-end funds.

Mr. Padiyedathu received a B.S. in Accounting from Binghamton University. Mr. Padiyedathu is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

Jonathan Snider

Senior Director of Fund Finance

Jonathan Snider is a Senior Director of Fund Finance at GTIS, and is responsible for oversight of fund finance and operations for the firm’s US focused portfolios.

Mr. Snider’s experience in the real estate industry began in 2007. Prior to joining GTIS, Mr. Snider spent 12 years at Goldman, Sachs & Co., most recently serving as a Vice President in the Alternative Investments and Manager Selection group. In this role, Mr. Snider was responsible for oversight of business infrastructure for the group’s private equity platform, focusing on accounting, operations, portfolio monitoring, performance analysis, and new product implementation. Prior to Goldman Sachs, Mr. Snider worked at Ernst & Young LLP, where he performed financial statement audits for clients in the asset management space.

Mr. Snider received a B.S. in Finance from Pennsylvania State University and an M.S. in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame. Mr. Snider is a Certified Public Accountant.

Allison Soren

Allison Soren

Chief Compliance Officer

Allison Soren is the Chief Compliance Officer at GTIS. Ms. Soren is responsible for oversight, training and analysis of GTIS’ compliance program globally. Ms. Soren is also responsible for entity maintenance and GTIS’ regulatory reporting as a US-registered investments advisor as well as other filing obligations under various reporting regimes.

Ms. Soren’s experience in the real estate industry began in 2008, as a public accountant at Berdon LLP, where she spent five years serving NYC-based family office clients in the real estate sector. Ms. Soren joined GTIS in 2013 as a Management Company Accountant responsible for management company accounting and general partner reporting before moving to the Compliance group in early 2016.

Ms. Soren received a B.S in Accounting from Binghamton University and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Juliana Bastianello Baldin Martins

Director, Legal

Juliana Bastianello Baldin Martins joined GTIS Partners on May 2011 and is currently a Managing Director at the firm. Mrs. Baldin Martins is responsible for overseeing legal activities in Brazil.

Mrs. Baldin Martins experience in the real estate industry began in 2008, with focus on real estate and corporate law. Prior to joining GTIS Partners in 2011, Mrs. Baldin Martins was a lawyer at Machado, Meyer, Sendacz e Opice Advogados, one of the largest law firms in Brazil, where she spent over three years specializing in mergers, acquisitions and corporate restructuring transactions, including in the real estate industry. Prior to Machado, Meyer, Sendacz e Opice, Mrs. Baldin Martins worked at TozziniFreire Advogados, also one of the largest law firms in Brazil, where she focused on capital markets transactions for over three years.

Mrs. Baldin Martins graduated from São Paulo University Law School (USP) in 2007, completed her Master of Business Administration at Fundacao Getulio Vargas (FGV) in 2011 and completed her Masters in Corporate Law at São Paulo University Law School (USP) in 2022.

Carlos Roberto D’Amato

Managing Director, Finance

Carlos D’Amato is a Managing Director of Finance at GTIS, and is responsible for funds and management company accounting and reporting, taxes and operations in Brazil. Mr. D’Amato’s real estate industry experience began in 2009.

Before joining GTIS, Mr. D’Amato was a controller at GP Investments, a Brazil-based private equity firm focused on Latin American markets. Prior to GP Investments, he worked as a tax manager at UBS Brazil, and was responsible for Brazil and Argentina. At UBS, Mr. D’Amato also participated in the acquisition process of Pactual, one of the most important investment banks in Brazil. Prior to UBS, Mr. D’Amato was a senior manager at PriceWaterhouseCoopers, specializing in audit and tax consulting for financial institutions, alternative investments and foreign investors.

Mr. D’Amato received a B.A. and M.B.A., both from Fundação Getúlio Vargas Business School (FGV).

Alberto Pedrini

Managing Director, Design and Construction

Alberto Pedrini is a Managing Director of Construction and Design at GTIS, and is responsible for overseeing the design and construction team, establishing parameters and design guide lines, and coordinating third party engineers and designers for the development projects in Brazil.

Mr. Pedrini’s experience in the real estate industry began in 1978 focusing on construction and design management on residential, commercial, hospitality, and mixed-use projects, as well as logistics and industrial projects. Prior to joining GTIS in 2008, Mr. Pedrini was a Senior Project Executive with Camargo Correa SA, one of Brazil’s largest construction companies, where he managed construction teams and was responsible for the cost control, budgeting and purchasing departments.

From 2001 to 2004, Mr. Pedrini worked as Senior Manager of Design and Construction at Tishman Speyer Metodo, a joint venture between Tishman Speyer and Metodo SA, a Brazilian construction company. In this position, Mr. Pedrini was responsible for coordinating the work of designers and consultants, developing alternative studies to improve building performance and managing construction companies at the firm’s development sites. From 1991 to 2001, Mr. Pedrini worked at Birmann SA with GTIS Senior Managing Director João Teixeira, and at Turner Birmann, a joint venture with the Turner Construction Company. Mr. Pedrini started his career at GAFISA, one of the leading Brazilian public real estate companies, where he worked for more than 13 years in the construction management and design of residential and office projects.

Mr. Pedrini received a graduate degree in Civil Engineering from Mackenzie University in São Paulo and is a member of the Brazilian Technical Code Association (ABNT).

Tarik Maruno

Director, Business Development

Tarik Maruno is a Director of Business Development at GTIS, and is responsible for supporting the identification, valuation, negotiation, due diligence and closing of acquisition opportunities in Brazil. Mr. Maruno’s experience in the real estate industry began in 2000. Prior to joining GTIS in September 2008, Mr. Maruno was the real estate manager of Del Plata Investimentos, a brokerage and advisory firm focused on the retail sector. Prior to Del Plata, Mr. Maruno worked as a real estate and sales manager at Telefonica, where he developed strong relationships with local family offices, property companies and developers while helping to expand Telefonica’s presence in commercial buildings in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasília, Curitiba, Porto Alegre, Belo Horizonte and Salvador. Mr. Maruno began his career in 2000 as a site acquisitions trainee at Diveo do Brasil, a data center solutions company.

Paulo Millen

Director, Asset Management

Paulo Millen is a Director of Asset Management at GTIS, and is responsible for office development and asset management in Brazil. Mr. Millen’s experience in the real estate industry began in 2005, specializing in construction and development of residential, commercial and mixed-use projects in Brazil. Prior to joining GTIS, Mr. Millen was a Development and Sales Manager focused on marketing and sales strategy at Lindencorp, a major São Paulo-based development and investment firm. Prior to Lindencorp, Mr. Millen was responsible for project approvals at CIPASA, a major land developer in São Paulo.

Mr. Millen received a Civil Engineering degree from Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado (FAAP).

Felipe Kitajima

Vice President, Portfolio Management

Felipe Kitajima is Vice-President of Portfolio Management at GTIS Brazil, appointed as the CVM (Brazilian equivalent of the SEC) licensed professional for the management of the local funds.

Prior to joining GTIS, Mr. Kitajima worked for Captalys, a Brazilian private credit investment firm, in the management of onshore and offshore funds. Prior to Captalys, he worked for Hemisferio Sul Investimentos, a large Brazilian real estate private equity group, where he also performed investor relations and compliance/internal controls functions across several jurisdictions. Before HSI, Mr. Kitajima worked at PwC auditing investment funds.

Mr. Kitajima obtained a post-graduation degree in Economics from Fundação Getúlio Vargas in 2015 and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Universidade Nove de Julho in 2013.

Itamar Pacheco

Director, Compliance and Risk

Itamar Pacheco is a Director on Compliance team of GTIS, and is responsible for supporting the firm’s compliance program. Also, He was appointed director for internal control, risk and AML pursuant to the local regulation. Mr. Pacheco’s experience in financial market began in 2004 with focus on controls, investment funds and compliance.

He built his career at Citi, where he had several roles. Mr. Pacheco started at Citi as internship in Internal Control Unit, after that he worked in Securities Services for 7 years, then He was fiduciary oversight officer for 3 years in Asset Management until He joined the Compliance in 2015. In your last role, Mr. Pacheco was the Product Compliance Officer covering Private Bank, Corporate, CCB, Issuer Services and Funds in Citi Brazil and was deputy member of the ANBIMA and ANCORD Compliance Committees.

Mr. Pacheco received master’s degree and bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Universidade de São Paulo (USP). He holds the CPA-20 certification from ANBIMA, Risk, Compliance and Commercial PQO certification from B3 and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) from Planejar.

Audreane De Isai

Director of Design and Construction

Audreane de Iasi is a Director of Design & Construction at GTIS, and is responsible for managing the construction process (including design development, budgeting, scheduling, construction phase and maintenance) and supporting the acquisition. Ms. de Iasi’s real estate industry experience began in 1996, specializing in construction and design management in the residential, commercial and industrial sectors. Prior to joining GTIS, Ms. de Iasi was responsible for planning, project management and cost estimation at Trump Realty Brazil, a joint venture between the Trump Organization and local partners. Before Trump Realty Brazil, Ms. de Iasi worked with Alberto Pedrini at Método Engenharia S.A., where she was responsible for the development of engineering studies, technical bidding proposals and project budgeting. Prior to Método, Ms. de Iasi worked for five years at Construtora Fiorese Fernandes as a construction engineer. Ms. de Iasi started her career at Gafisa, one of the leading Brazilian public real estate companies.

Ms. de Iasi received a Civil Engineering degree from Escola de Engenharia Mauá in São Paulo and received a B.A.from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV).

Beatriz Jardim Rosique

Director, Legal

Beatriz Jardim Rosique is a Director on the Legal team at GTIS, and is responsible for supporting due diligence efforts and acquisitions in Brazil.

Ms. Rosique’s experience in the real estate industry began in 2007. Prior to joining GTIS, Ms. Rosique was a trainee with Demarest e Almeida Advogados, one of the largest law firms in Brazil, where she was active in the firm’s corporate and real estate practice, serving some of the largest public and private real estate companies in Brazil.

Ms. Rosique received a graduate degree in law from Pontifícia Universidade Católica in São Paulo.

Patricia de Campos Valadares

Director, Development & Asset Management

Patricia de Campos Valadares is a Director of Development & Asset Management at GTIS, and is responsible for residential, commercial and urban lot development activities in Brazil.

Ms. Valadares’s experience in the real estate industry began in 1996 specializing in the development and management of residential, commercial and urban lot development projects in Brazil. Prior to joining GTIS in June 2018, Ms. Valadares was a director in the Development, Design and Licensing Department at Rossi Residencial S.A., leading 50 employees, including managers, coordinators, architects, engineers, assistants, trainees and around 350 outsourced providers of business services, including consultants, advisors and designers. Before Rossi, Ms. Valadares was a director in the Development and Design Department at Tecnisa S.A. where she worked for 10 years. During this time, the company completed its initial public offering (IPO) and was responsible for supporting the growth of the development and design department to oversee projects in several cities throughout Brazil. Ms. Valadares was also a third-party consultant and project manager with Valadares & Coelho Gestao de Empreendimentos LTDA working with companies in the real estate market, including GTIS.

Ms. Valadares studied Urbanism and Architecture at Universidade Católica de Santos and has a post-degree in Business Administration from FAAP – Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado and a Global Executive MBA from Fundação Getúlio Vargas – FGV and Lisbon University Institute.

Erika Rezende

Director, Finance

Erika Rezende is Director of the GTIS Finance team, working in the accounting, tax, and financial areas of the various investments of the funds in the country.

Mrs. Rezende has been working in the real estate sector since 2013, having previously worked as a senior manager at PwC Brasil in the audit and tax consulting areas with a focus on the financial sector and capital markets. She holds a Law degree from the Osasco Law School (UNIFIEO), in Accounting from the Universidade do Sul de Santa Catarina (UNISUL) and a Latu Sensu postgraduate degree in Administration from Fundação Getulio Vargas Business School (FGV).

Diego Assumpção

Director, Acquisitions

Diego Assumpção is a Director of Acquisitions at GTIS, and is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and executing on investment opportunities in Brazil. Mr. Assumpção’s experience in the real estate industry began in 2003. Prior to joining GTIS in April 2012, Mr. Assumpção was a business development manager at Transit S.A., where he was responsible for developing new business strategies and negotiate wholesale contracts with major telecom companies in Brazil and the United States. In addition, Mr. Assumpção worked as an analyst at Telefonica S.A., where he was focused on the origination, due diligence, financial analysis and investment committee process for new acquisitions.

Mr. Assumpção received an M.B.A. in finance from INSPER, a degree in Business Administration from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a graduate degree in Information Systems from Mackenzie University in São Paulo.

Chaitali D. Patel

Managing Director, Investor Relations

Chaitali D. Patel is a Managing Director of Investor Relations at GTIS, and is responsible for investor relations, reporting and capital formation activities.

Ms. Patel began her professional career in 2000 and her experience in the real estate industry began in 2010. Prior to joining GTIS in 2013, Ms. Patel was a Vice President of investor relations at Westbrook Partners where she was involved in the successful fund raising of Westbrook Fund IX. Before joining Westbrook Partners, Ms. Patel worked with Royal Bank of Scotland on originating and executing cross border mergers and acquisitions transactions based in New York and London. In addition, Ms. Patel worked at Standard & Poor’s in the corporate valuation group.

Ms. Patel received a B.B.A. in Finance and Risk Management from Temple University and received an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School. Ms. Patel is an active member of NYPEN Real Estate, Women in Real Estate and has served as a Teaching Assistant at Columbia Business School since 2009.

Thomas M. Baur

Senior Director, US Income Investments

Thomas M. Baur is a Senior Director. He joined GTIS July 2015 and opened GTIS’ Munich office. Mr. Baur’s primary responsibilities include fund structuring, investment strategy and client relations for the firm’s office, retail and multifamily investments on behalf of German institutional investors. Mr. Baur’s experience in the real estate industry began in 1999, specializing in commercial real estate investment and real estate fund administration.

Prior to joining GTIS, Mr. Baur worked for PGIM Real Estate as a Portfolio Manager for the U.S. Property Funds (USPF) responsible for client relationship management, investment strategy and evaluation of investment opportunities on behalf of German institutional investors. Prior to this position, Mr. Baur headed the fund operations department of PGIM Europe. In this role, he was responsible for establishing the department, implementing the fund and investment structures, financial reporting, and performance measurement of the Germany and Luxembourg based real estate funds, including a Shari´ah compliant fund. Prior to joining Prudential in 2006, Mr. Baur was Manager of Accounting with the Siemens Real Estate Investment Company and established the reporting process for a €3 billion pan-European real estate asset portfolio.

Mr. Baur received an M.B.A.(Diplom Betriebswirt) from the University of applied sciences AKAD Hochschule Stuttgart. Mr. Baur is fluent in German and English.

Shanti Addeo

Shanti Addeo

Director, Client Services

Shanti Addeo is a Director at GTIS, and is responsible for responding to all client inquiries, managing the client portal, fund closings and supporting the fundraising/marketing initiatives of the firm.

Ms. Addeo’s experience in the real estate industry began in 1996. Prior to GTIS, Ms. Addeo was an Associate at Syska Hennessy Group in the Corporate Services department. Prior to joining Syska, Ms. Addeo was an Administrator in the Information Technology group at Tishman Speyer Properties (“TSP”). At TSP, Ms. Addeo spent four years of her career developing and subsequently managing a client services document management and reporting system.

Ms. Addeo received a B.S. in Marketing from the Fashion Institute of Technology and a Paralegal Diploma from New York University.

Marcello Leone

Director, Head of Capital Markets Brazil

Mr. Leone is responsible for capital formation and institutional investor relations activities in Brazil.

Mr. Leone has over 18 years of experience in capital markets and real estate. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of LPS Brasil (Lopes), a publicly traded real estate company at B3, where he was an executive director of finance and investor relations for 12 years until 2018 and was one of those responsible for its IPO process in 2006. Before to join GTIS Mr. Leone was Commercial Executive Director at Captalys, a private debt investment manager in Brazil from 2018 to 2022. Previously, he held investor relations and investment reporting positions at Atlântica Residencial, a real estate development company owned by the Prudential groups, CDP, GIC and Icatu, where he was one of those responsible for its wind down process and asset sale, and at Credigy, an American company that invests in stressed debts. Mr. Leone began his career as a risk management consultant for financial institutions at Deloitte, a global auditing and consulting firm.

Mr. Leone holds a degree in Economics from the University of São Paulo and an MBA from INSEAD – France, in addition to a specialization in digital strategy from Harvard Business School.
